Demo Access Form
How the access form leads to the local demo
Selecting Sign In or Sign Up switches the form mode; it does not itself open the desktop. If the preview reaches and runs the form, a submission that passes the applicable checks is set up to switch to the local demo desktop. This local transition does not verify credentials or create a protected account. If the preview reaches and runs the desktop, Sign out is set up to return to the form.
The form applies these checks:
- Both choices: Email text must contain an at sign, and the password must be at least four characters long. If submission reaches these custom checks and either fails, the form shows: “Enter a valid email and a password of 4+ characters.” Browser validation may stop a malformed, nonempty email before the checks run.
- Sign Up only: The Display handle field appears, and the handle must have at least two characters after whitespace is trimmed. Otherwise, the form shows: “Pick a display handle of at least 2 characters.”
[!NOTE] The captured preview is still bundling and has not shown the access form; neither the move to the desktop nor the Sign out return is observed. If the form is missing, check the preview’s visible loading or failure indication rather than assuming your input was rejected.
