CG Virtual Desktop Documentation

This project is presented through an embedded CG Web Surfer demo preview. When the demo loads, you can use its local access form to reach a desktop with tool choices and an Activity list. Form acceptance and activity entries do not confirm a real sign-in, account creation, or remote results.

Use the demo

  1. Wait until the CG Web Surfer access form is visible. The outer “Building your app” screen or a preview-ready message does not mean the demo is usable.
  2. Choose Sign In or Sign Up to switch the form mode.
  3. Enter an email containing @ and a password of at least four characters. For Sign Up, provide a display handle with at least two characters after trimming whitespace.
  4. Submit the form. If the preview is running and the checks pass, it is set up to open the local demo desktop. Sign out, if available on the desktop, is set up to return to the form.

These are local demo transitions, not credential verification or protected account access. Do not enter a real password unless a trusted product source confirms that the form is a real sign-in.

If the preview does not load

Progress messages such as “Bundling code,” “Starting preview,” and “Compiling styles” are not confirmation that the demo has loaded. If you see an error, read its text. For an unavailable-package or module-import error, check network availability and whether the package is available in the preview.

A timeout message may appear about 60 seconds after the build cycle starts if the preview is still running without reporting ready or error. This is not an overall loading deadline. The Try to fix button is not guaranteed to appear; use a repair action only when the button is visible.

If the access form never appears, check the preview’s visible loading or failure indication rather than assuming your input was rejected. A “Connected · VNC session” label alone does not establish connectivity.

Data and privacy

The access screen says, “Local demo session — no data leaves your browser.” Treat this as local-demo wording, not an assurance about every connection. The page references Plausible analytics and startup media hosted by iili.io and image2url.com. It is not established whether access-form or desktop-query entries are included in analytics or sent another way.

If local-only handling matters, check browser network activity and privacy settings before entering personal details. Block third-party requests if those connections matter.
