Collaborate Seamlessly with DocuWriter.ai Teams

Invite colleagues, share spaces, and work from a single subscription—no extra licenses, no friction.

Only the Team Owner pays for a plan. Every invited Editor or Viewer enjoys the same benefits at no additional cost.

1 · Why Create a Team?

Benefit What It Means
Shared Spaces Everyone sees the same docs, generators and version history as soon as they're created.
Role Control Choose who can edit (Editor) or simply view (Viewer). Owners have full control.
Single Subscription The Owner's plan covers the whole team—no add‑ons or hidden charges.
Central Billing & Usage Credits, invoices and usage reports roll up to the Owner's account.

2 · Roles & Permissions

Editors can create new generations; any credits used are automatically deducted from the Owner's plan.

3 · Inviting Team‑mates

  1. Go to Team → Add member.
  2. Enter their email, choose a role, and click Send invitation.
  3. The invitee receives an email with a Join Team button.
  4. After accepting, they appear instantly under Team members.

Only the Owner can send, resend or cancel invitations.

4 · Accepting an Invitation (Invitee View)

  1. Click the link in the invitation email.
  2. Log in or create a free DocuWriter.ai account.
  3. Click Accept Invitation.

If the user already belongs to another team, they'll move automatically—each person can belong to one team at a time.

5 · Everyday Team Tasks

Task Path
Promote / demote a member Team → Team members → Role drop‑down
Remove a member Team → Team members → 🗑️
Resend / cancel an invitation Team → Pending invitations
Track credits & usage Team → Team usage
Delete the entire team Team → Danger zone (irreversible)

6 · Good to Know

  1. One team per person. Personal teams are separate.
  2. Owners cannot leave their own team—delete it first.
  3. Invitations are email‑specific; typo? Cancel and resend.
  4. Team features require an Enterprise plan, guests never pay when joining.
  5. Joining a new team automatically removes you from your old one.
  6. Slack keeps the same team access. Each linked member uses their own DocuWriter role and effective team; sharing a Slack workspace never grants access to another DocuWriter team. See the Slack Agent guide.
