Invite teammates and manage access

Teams let colleagues work with shared documentation using the permissions assigned to them. The team owner's plan and usage pool govern the team's supported features.

Choose a role

Role Typical responsibility
Owner Manages the team, its subscription and member access.
Editor Creates and maintains documentation and uses generation features where entitled.
Viewer Reads shared material without authoring or starting generation.

Check the actual resource access as well as the role when an action is unavailable. Being in the same Slack workspace does not grant DocuWriter team access.

Invite a colleague

As the team owner, open Team, choose Add member, enter the colleague's email and select a role. Send the invitation. The recipient opens the email, signs in to the matching account and accepts the invitation.

An invitation is not an accepted membership. Review pending invitations separately from active team members. If the address is wrong, cancel that invitation and send one to the correct address.

Maintain access

Use Team settings to change a member's role, remove access or manage pending invitations. Review the consequence before moving between teams; an account has one effective team context, and changing it affects the resources and entitlement it uses.

Editors' generation work uses the team's effective credit pool. Team members should ask the owner about billing or entitlement changes rather than purchasing or cancelling the owner's subscription themselves.
