Connect Bitbucket

Authorize Bitbucket to make repositories available to DocuWriter's repository workflows.

Connect and verify

  1. Open Git Connections → Connect Bitbucket.
  2. Authorize with the Bitbucket account that can access the required workspace and repository.
  3. Return to DocuWriter and choose Add Repository.
  4. Select the repository and enter the branch you want to document.
  5. Wait for Code Imported, then continue to generate documentation.

The repository's workspace and the account you authorized both matter. If the list is empty, first confirm that the same account can read the repository in Bitbucket. Reconnect if its permissions changed after authorization.

Keeping the Space current

For ongoing maintenance, add a Bitbucket link in the Space's Autopilot settings. Select the correct branch, enable the link and choose supported triggers. Provider events differ; do not assume all GitHub pull-request behavior applies to Bitbucket.

If imports fail

Check the visible error, repository name, exact branch and provider access. An imported branch can be different from the branch selected later in an Autopilot link. Include both when contacting support.

Removing the imported repository from DocuWriter does not remove the remote Bitbucket repository. If you revoke authorization, review any Spaces or workflows that depend on that provider connection.
