Export and download documentation
Choose an export based on whether you need a portable copy, a document deliverable or a copy in another collaboration system.

Download content
Open the Space or page actions and choose the available export. For a selection export, select pages that contain content. Folders and external links organize navigation but do not become standalone Markdown documents by themselves.
Review the downloaded files for headings, code, tables and diagrams. A successful download does not guarantee every interactive feature has the same presentation outside DocuWriter.
Export to an external system
Check destination credentials, repository or Confluence space, branch and path before starting. Git and Confluence exports may run in the background; follow their completion or failure notification.
An export writes a copy to its destination. Do not assume that manually editing either copy establishes automatic two-way synchronization.
If an action is unavailable
Check Space permissions and the owner's subscription. Some internal export and copy actions for repository-generated Spaces require paid entitlement. Public Copy Page and Open in AI remain available to public readers independently of their own subscription.
If an export fails, keep the destination and visible error, correct access or configuration, and retry deliberately. Do not repeatedly overwrite a destination without checking the prior result.
