Connect Azure DevOps

Azure DevOps connections depend on the organization, project and repository permissions granted to DocuWriter. Personal access token setup is available; supported organizational accounts may also use OAuth.

Connect

  1. Open Git Connections → Connect Azure DevOps.
  2. Choose Personal Access Token for token setup. Create a PAT with Code (Read) access and enter the organization name, such as contoso from https://dev.azure.com/contoso. OAuth requires a supported Azure AD organizational account.
  3. Complete the connection and select the repository.
  4. Enter the branch and start its import.
  5. Wait for a ready import before selecting it in a generator.

A token must have the repository access required by the operation. Reading code, writing an export and configuring an event subscription are different operations, so success in one does not prove permission for another.

Troubleshoot a missing repository

Confirm the organization and project, then check repository access for the token's identity. Also check token expiry or revocation. Reconnect after correcting access and try selecting the repository again.

Autopilot

Create a repository link for the Space and review the setup instructions shown for Azure DevOps. Webhook configuration may require a manual step in Azure DevOps. Verify the branch and event settings before expecting suggestions.

If your organization cannot authorize access, use the project ZIP workflow for a one-time documentation snapshot. It does not provide branch-based updates or Autopilot event delivery.
