Connect a Space to Autopilot

Set up Autopilot on the Space that should receive documentation suggestions. Authorizing a Git provider and enabling a Space repository link are separate steps.

Before you start

You need permission to manage the Space and access to the provider repository. Confirm the documentation corresponds to that repository and branch. For GitHub, the Autopilot GitHub App can support event delivery and pull-request comments for installed repositories.

  1. Open the Space's Autopilot page.
  2. Open Connections and add a repository link.
  3. Select the provider repository and exact branch.
  4. Choose the supported trigger events and enable the link.
  5. Add optional path filters or instructions, then save.
  6. Complete any provider-specific webhook setup indicated by the app.

Azure DevOps may require manual webhook configuration. Event support differs among providers; use the options offered for the selected provider rather than assuming every pull-request event is supported.

Verify the setup

After a relevant repository event, check the Space's Activity. Confirm the event was received and whether processing produced suggestions, found no relevant changes or failed.

Review a first batch manually before considering auto-apply. Configure notifications after deciding who should review updates.

Multiple repositories

Add a separate link for each source repository that contributes to the Space. Each link has its own branch, filters and settings. Avoid a broad connection that pulls unrelated code into a narrowly scoped documentation set.
