Find and fill documentation gaps
Use Update documentation gaps to expand or revise an existing Space using repository source. This workflow lets you review proposed additions and targeted changes before generating them.
Analyze the Space
- Open the Space overview or its sidebar update action.
- If prompted, link an imported repository or import one through the connection flow.
- Describe the area to improve, such as “Cover the payment retry workflow and recovery steps.”
- Choose Re-index repository first when the stored source is older than the code you want documented.
- Start Analyze and wait for the proposal.
Review the proposed work
The preview distinguishes existing pages from new sections. Select the new pages you want and remove duplicative or irrelevant proposals. Existing pages can receive specific update instructions.
Split / Extend has two different outcomes:

| Split | Replaces the original page with the new focused pages. |
| Extend | Keeps the original and adds companion pages. |
Review the keep-original setting carefully. If preserving an existing link matters, extending is usually the easier first review path. When extending, you can also request an update to the original to introduce its new companion pages.
Generate the selected changes
Select Generate Selected after reviewing the counts and instructions. New pages are added to the Space; selected existing pages are regenerated. Read the result and verify important claims and examples before sharing.
An analysis preview is not a completed edit. Also, changing an audience for this workflow does not mean every untouched page has been rewritten.
Use this feature for broad gaps and deliberate expansions. Use Autopilot for ongoing suggestions driven by repository events.
