Understand credits and usage

Credits measure eligible AI generation usage. Check the account's current Usage and Billing screens for its available balance, billing period and included features.

What to expect

Starting a generator creates new AI work and is subject to credits and permissions. A multi-page documentation workflow can create many page outputs; do not budget for it as though an entire Space were always one generation.

For team work, the effective owner's allowance is used. A Viewer cannot start generation simply because the team has credits.

Reading pages, organizing documentation and making manual edits are different from generating new content. Search and documentation Q&A do not deduct generator credits, but feature availability can still depend on access and subscription. “No generation credits” does not mean every feature is available anonymously or without entitlement.

Autopilot

Preview access and paid application features are separate. Entitled suggestion generation can consume credits; applying or discarding an already-generated suggestion is not a second generation. Consult the current account UI for its preview limits and available actions.

When generation is unavailable

Open Usage and confirm the effective account or team, remaining allowance and any extra credits. Check the error shown by the generator. The account owner can review plan changes or credit purchases from Profile/Billing.

You can continue to inspect existing documentation while resolving generation access. Avoid starting repeated duplicate runs to test whether a balance problem has cleared.

For a billing question, include the account, approximate run time and workflow when contacting support. Prices and allowances can change, so this guide does not duplicate a pricing table.
