Copy pages into AI tools

Use the page toolbar's Copy page menu to reuse the current documentation in Markdown or open it in a supported external AI tool.

Copy the page

Open the desired page, wait for its content to load, then choose Copy page. Paste into your editor or another tool and check that the important content is present.

The result represents the page you selected. It is not an export of every page in the Space. Use Space exports when you need multiple documents.

Open in an AI assistant

Choose Open in ChatGPT, Open in Claude or Open in Perplexity from the same menu, then continue in that tool. Check what content or link the destination received before asking it to reason over the documentation.

For ongoing authenticated access to your DocuWriter account, use MCP instead. Opening one page in an AI tool is not the same as authorizing that assistant to manage your Spaces.

Public and private pages

On a public Space, Copy Page and the supported Open-in-AI actions are available without a reader login or subscription. Public Ask AI uses different publisher-entitlement rules.

For internal repository-generated documentation, actions may be subject to permissions and paid entitlement. If a control is unavailable, check the Space context and account access.

If an external tool does not open, check browser popup handling and your login in that tool. If content is incomplete, confirm the page has finished loading and your latest edits are saved.
